I Was Productions was formed from a vision I had quite a few years ago. My wife and I were engaged in a christian motorcycle ministry. One of the missions of this ministry was to serve our homeless population. We did this by travelling our city and locating the homeless encampments, bringing them the word of God, love, fellowship, and supplies.

 

Sadly, our homeless population is quite often frowned upon and, a lot of times, are looked at like second class citizens. With that being said, it is usually hard to get through to them due to the emotional walls they have constructed. That is what led me to my vision. I wanted a way to stir up conversation, so I had a clothing patch made that was applied to our motorcycle vests. A black and yellow highly visible patch with 2 simple words that said, "I Was".

 

It worked, stirring up many conversations. When folks asked what "I Was" meant, it was a way of sharing where and what God, through the finished work of Jesus, had brought me out of. Most of the time they didn't or couldn't believe the testimony I shared. They were astonished at the background that I had come out of and to see the change that is possible by the grace of God and the blood of Jesus.

 

To make a long story short, we left the motorcycle ministry some years ago but I still had the vision of "I Was". It layed dormant for many years, but in late October 2025, The Lord woke me up and started downloading the renewed vision for "I Was". So here we are now with this website. I still have some of the original patches, but we haved progressed to t shirts, with other stuff coming soon; mugs, hats, hoodies, etc. There is even a podcast in the works, and whatever else the Lord has in store for us. It is all to glorify Him and to get folks to share their testimonies. Join us... join the movement.
